Opens

January 29,  2003

T. Weiss Realty Corp. recently celebrated the grand opening of its new Class A commercial property, the Melville Corporate Center II, located at 330 South Service Road in Melville, New York. Over 250 invited guests and dignitaries toured the 85,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art Melville Corporate Center II while enjoying live piano music, cocktails and buffet, with an official presentation and ribbon cutting during the evening.

Among the special guests who joined Ted Weiss, president of T. Weiss Realty, and his business partners, employees, and family, were many of Long Island's leading brokers, New York State Senator John J. Flanagan, Huntington Town Supervisor Frank Petrone, Huntington Town Councilwoman Susan Berland, Huntington Town Councilman Mark Cuthbertson, Babylon Town Councilman Wayne Horsley, Suffolk County IDA Bruce Ferguson, and Huntington Director of Economic Development Lisa Ann Broughton.

"I am extremely proud to offer this new premier space to Long Island's business community," said Weiss in his welcoming remarks.  "Like our other Class A buildings, Melville Corporate Center II incorporates the most current specifications for today's office space, with infrastructure, wiring, and broadband access to accommodate the latest advances in telecommunications, and state-of-the art suites and conference facilities. In addition, the Center includes the comforts of the Veranda Café, atrium and a specially designed meditation garden."

With exterior pathways leading to and from the Center's atrium and twelve skylights, the garden features a central fountain with four fishponds, benches, and an overhead pergola trellis.  Noting that the idea was inspired by the need for reflection stirred by the September 11 terrorist attacks, Weiss explained: "The time to sit and relax, unwind and release the stresses of the day are an important part of maintaining our health and productivity while keeping our priorities in order."

The Melville Corporate Center II already boasts 60% occupancy, with tenants attracted by the facility's high-tech responsiveness.
