ST. JAMES, NY -- The Suffolk County Department of Parks, Recreation and Conservation in conjunction with the Deepwells Farm Historic Society will host the 16th Annual Fall Festival, on Saturday and Sunday, October 6th and 7th, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., at Deepwells Farm County Park in St. James.

“This fun-filled event provides great opportunities for families to enjoy all the traditions of the fall, harvest season,” said Suffolk County Executive Steve Levy.   “Visitors can enjoy hay and pony rides, pumpkin decorating, live entertainment and old-fashioned children’s games.”

Other highlights of this year’s festival will include craft vendors, face painting, a magic show, storytellers, a real live petting farm from Cornell Cooperative Extension, festival food, and the always popular hay bale fun jump.  You can purchase a wide variety of foods and merchandise including hand made crafts, pumpkins and candy from the St. James General Store.  Tours of Deepwells Farm will also be available throughout the day.

Admission to the festival is $5.00 for adults, $1.00 for seniors and children under 12.  Parking is available in the field opposite the St. James General Store for free.  Deepwells Farm is located at the intersection of Moriches Road and Route 25A in St. James.
